Sunny Isles Denny's is GONE.
Former Sunny Isles Denny's Demolished to make room for Aurora. First new construction west of Collins Ave Aurora Residences in Sunny Isles Beach FL. A site that once was a busy location of a chain restaurant Denny's located at 17555 Collins Ave Sunny Isles no longer resembles anything that it once was. As of this writing, bulldozers are loading the last remaining pieces of what once was a popular restaurant in Sunny Isles. Nearly a 1-acre lot the property was purchased by the Verzasca Group for it new construction Aurora Sunny Isles condo complex.
A planned development will have 76 luxury units condo complex located on top of a 3 story elevated parking with close to 8000 square feet of commercial space on the first-floor ground level. Also kind of dated and not as popular as it once was Denny's was not as busy as it used to be in the last few years of its existence. I kind of liked their breakfast, lunch and even dinners. So I personally do miss it.
According to the County records Verzasca has acquired the location at 17555 Collins Ave Sunny Isles Beach from Sal Ganem Inc in March of 2015 for $10.5 million dollars with seller private mortgage loan. Developers are planning to erect a first new condo complex west of Collins Ave in years.
The last condo complex built in the area was King David building which is actually located in the back of the Aurora Condo to be built and that was more than 12 years ago in 2005. Built by J. Milton and Sons Kind David condos were very popular at that time again since there was hardly any new construction condos for sale in the area at that time west of Collins.
