The 5.6-acre site at 17901 Collins Avenue former Golden Strand timeshare complex will soon become a site on which the twin towers Palazzo Di Acqualina will rise. With great sales success of the completed Mansion at Acqualina, Jules Trump is looking to expand by adding another two high story high rise towers that will offer limited ocean front residences. Current zoning permits a maximum of 448 units on the existing site, but instead, developer elected to only build 190 luxury condo villas with 95 units per tower rising 649 feet above sea level.
The future plan is to build the new condos to the north of the original Ocean Residences, two high rise towers with limited density residencies. Each will have its own luxury amenities and services and access to the restaurants and services of the resort features at the Acqualina Ocean.
At this point, it is too soon to know all the details about the project. However local firm of Cohen Freedman & Encinosa Associates responsible for the design of the first two buildings will be used by Jules Trump to carry on the tradition. This will be Jules Trump third project within Acqualina two blocks radius. No one knows what the purchase price is at this time, but rumor has it Jules paid over $100 mil for the property and expects to finalize the deal around mid-2017.
